Who is behind

The website as a business property is owned by Lysaco Aviation Ltd. The website was however built through the cooperation of a team of aviation professionals (including pilots, engineers and academic professionals).

Why was this website created and what is the goal?

The aim of the website is to engage people in educating about safety management and take more interest in the topic, by providing ease of access to information. However, the top goal of the platform is to create a medium where people can share information and exchange ideas freely about safety (WHY).

Who can contribute?

Anyone who is willing can contribute through articles in the blogging section or through posts in the forum. You can also contribute for the expansion of the Pedia section by sending us your thoughts and ideas.

Why is commenting anonymous?

Even though we believe in the Just culture and non-blame solution; and we would like it not to be, anonymity is the way to gain the trust of the audience, but also to protect them from any unforeseen consequences.

Why do I have to register for the forum?

Registration to the forum is only required for posting and replying in the forum. This is for protection of the audience from spam and malicious attempts by having a sense of control over the profiles.

How is anonymity guaranteed?

Please read our Privacy Policy. Apart from having the option to give no personal details that personify you, our servers do not keep the data of the users. Furthermore, anything can be erased at any moment someone requests us to.

How are data protected (GDPR)?

Please read our Privacy Policy. We are against illegal and unauthorised use of any personal data. You have the option to subscribe or opt-out from any list/email. Should you believe that we are in any way violating this, please let us know.

How can I promote my company/services?

There are multiple ways to promote your company or institution. The simplest one is by rending banner space (various options available). You can also create a professional profile where you can present more about yourself and the company (click here), or you can advertise a specific service/ product in the promotional section (click here). Finally, you can promote your work by writing in the blog section (click here) by expressing your views and experience.

What is the difference between a personal profile and a business profile?

Individual profile allows the basic functions of the forum (i.e. posting and commenting). A business profile, which is subscription based, allows the creation of a fully manageable and customised profile page in our website, where you can update your businesses ideas, products, news etc.

Can I have more than one account?

Depending on the purpose and use of the website, you can create an anonymous account or a named account. You can also create a personal account but also a business account for more official posts. Spamming through different accounts is not acceptable though.

Is it only related to pilots? is targeted to everyone in the aviation industry but also to anyone interested in the concept of safety management and human factors. It is therefore open to any person in any job description.
